Meet Your Photographer/Instructor: Victor “Top” Watson
My Experience
I began my career in law enforcement, where photography was part of the job and quickly became a passion. After retiring in 2012, I founded Schertz Photography School & Studio in early 2013 and have been photographing and teaching full-time ever since.
Over the years, I’ve photographed people and events across the U.S. and abroad—everything from family portraits and headshots to corporate projects. Whether in studio or on location, I focus on clean lighting, straightforward storytelling, and dependable results.
As an instructor, my goal is simple: make photography easier. I break down complex ideas into plain language, give practical steps you can use right away, and provide honest, encouraging feedback so you keep improving.
